Energy at 55
You asked what I do. This is it — the whole thing, in order, every day.
This is my personal routine, not a program and not a recommendation. What works for me was built around my labs, my history and my life. Yours would look different. Read it as a template for how to think, not what to take.
The day is built, not improvised
The single biggest thing I changed wasn't what I do. It's that I stopped deciding.
The non-negotiables
These aren't goals. They're settled, which is why they don't cost me anything anymore.
- I don't drink.Full stop. Nothing I've done moved more than this one, and nothing else was close.
- I eat the same things.Protein at every meal, no sugar, and the menu barely changes. Boring is the feature — a diet you have to think about is a diet you eventually quit.
- I move before I want to.Motivation shows up after you start. Waiting for it is how a decade goes by.
- I stay sexually active. It's a marker, not a vanity item. When it drops off, something upstream is usually wrong.
- I measure instead of guessing.Bloodwork on a schedule. You can't feel your hematocrit or your A1c, and the things that take men out at my age are silent.
- I don't do it alone. That's most of why we built Elevate.
The medical side — read this part carefully
I'm on testosterone. I also use several peptides. People ask about this constantly, so I'm not going to hide it — but I'm also not going to pretend it's the reason this works.
The order matters. The free things above are the engine. What's below is a small adjustment on top of an engine that was already running, and it does close to nothing without the rest of the page.
- Testosterone — prescribed, with labs before and monitoring throughout.
- Tesamorelin, CJC-1295, BPC-157, NAD+ — used under clinical supervision.
No doses here, and that's deliberate. Testosterone is FDA-approved for treating diagnosed hypogonadism. Several of the peptides above are not FDA-approved and some are restricted — their evidence base is early and thinner than the internet suggests. None of this is a reason to copy me. It's a reason to get your own labs and talk to a clinician who'll actually monitor you.
Your body likes boring. Consistency creates results. Repetition creates discipline. Discipline creates energy — in that order, and not the other way around.
You're not too old and you're not done. You may have another 50 years in front of you, and how you treat the next 12 months decides a lot about what they look like.
Stop waiting for it to happen to you. Get up and attack the day.
Stop guessing. Find out where you actually stand.
